The Potpourri House on Troup Hwy. offers a unique experience for shoppers and diners alike. Food choices range from a variety of specialty salads to chicken fried steak to their famous Chicken Lou Al. My personal favorites are the strawberry salad and the pimento cheese spread.
In addition to the delicious food, the Potpourri House sells unique jewelry, home decor, clothing, and candles. Their holiday Christmas tree display is not to be missed.
One thing I will say is that this store caterers heavily to the female population. Though there are a few male friendly options on the menu such as chicken fried steak, a man would really need to be in touch with his feminine side to eat here. Nearly every day guests can catch a glimpse of a red hat lady meeting in the dining room or of a melodic trio serenading lunch guests.
Be sure to follow the Potpourri House on Twitter to catch special offers.

We had our son’s rehearsal dinner for 60 people at the Potpourri House. Since we live out of state, I thought it would be hard to go over all the details. But, Les, the owner, made everything so simple. The dinner was PERFECT and the atmosphere was just beautiful. We always try to stop in every time we come to visit and enjoy their delicious food and pick up some unique shoppping items. Thanks Les. The Hartmans. Rob, Stephanie, Chad & Leah, Brooke, Josh
I received my graduate degree at UT Tyler last Friday, and took a party of 9 to celebrate at Potpourri House. It was wonderful! The service was impeccable…the owner even came over at one point and poured the wine himself. A friend from Dallas could not stop raving about the delicious food. And the desserts we ordered were to die for…a mango mousse concoction and a decadent chocolate rum cake. A member of the band pulled me up on the dance floor to play tambourine. It was a fantastic celebration, and the staff at Potpourri House made it even better.
I had a great experience at Jessica’s. My massage was the best I’ve ever had. I usually leave a massage so tense that I need another massage…not so...
